Casual Receptionist – Healthcare Imaging

About the role

Lumus Imaging is seeking a casual receptionist to join the Epping Consulting Centre. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, supporting a busy diagnostic imaging department that offers MRI, CT, Ultrasound, PET, X‑rays and Breast screening.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at the front desk and answer incoming telephone calls.
• Manage radiology exam bookings and schedule outpatient appointments.
• Perform general clerical duties, including filing and data entry.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry.
• Communicate courteously with other receptionists, referring doctors and medical professionals.
• Handle billing and banking tasks related to Medicare, DVA, health funds and work cover.

Required profile

• Experience in a reception or front‑desk role, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage patient information accurately.
• Good verbal communication skills for interacting with patients, staff and external contacts.
• Ability to handle billing processes and understand Medicare/DVA requirements.
