Business & Tax Advisor – Senior Accountant to Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking experienced accounting professionals to join our team in Sydney as Business & Tax Advisors. The role spans Senior Accountant, Manager and Senior Manager levels, offering the chance to work on diverse client engagements and provide tailored financial and tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare clear, concise and accurate work papers that support decision‑making.
• Apply knowledge of client business environments and industry positioning to deliver tailored advice.
• Mentor and support graduate accountants, sharing expertise and guiding their development.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with current legal and accounting standards.
• Draft documentation for partner meetings and client presentations.
• Research, identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Prepare and analyse management accounting reports.
• Conduct detailed reviews of tax and FBT returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead and manage a portfolio of client engagements, allocating workflow, reviewing team output and acting as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• CA qualification or equivalent (desirable).
• 2–15 years of experience in a similar accounting or tax advisory role.
• Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship (no sponsorship available).
