About the role
The Business Development Executive will drive sales growth for Energizer across major customers and retail channels. Working at field level, the role influences trading terms, contracts, product visibility and alignment with customer business plans within a defined geographic territory.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve state‑level sales targets using promotional programs and O&A sales drives.
- Secure sell‑in of promotional and seasonal activities with major MSO groups.
- Negotiate visibility, distribution and planogram placement with key retail stakeholders.
- Develop and follow a call cycle across all major retail chains.
- Build and manage relationships with IGA MSOs, Store Area Managers and State/Regional Managers.
- Obtain and maintain trading terms with major customers, delivering regular business reviews.
- Manage product range, visibility and promotional programs for batteries, lights and auto products.
- Support Territory Managers and merchandisers to capitalize on sales opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales or business development within consumer goods or related sectors.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with retail and distribution partners.
- Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of trading terms and contracts.
- Capability to analyse customer business drivers and align Energizer’s offerings accordingly.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and work under the guidance of National and Regional Managers.
