Associate Director, Strategy & Value Creation

About the role

KPMG is expanding its Strategy & Value Creation team in Melbourne and is looking for an Associate Director to lead high‑impact initiatives across the deal lifecycle. You will work with senior client stakeholders to identify, quantify and execute value‑creation opportunities that enhance EBITDA and enterprise value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams in growth strategy, commercial and operational due diligence, and post‑deal transformation.
• Own client relationships, acting as the primary contact for senior executives and ensuring delivery quality.
• Develop business development proposals, thought‑leadership pieces and support opportunity closing.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and assess their impact on client value propositions.
• Coach and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, conferences and business development activities.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading strategy and value‑creation programmes for large businesses in Australia or internationally.
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence and charisma.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex transformation projects.
