Associate Director – Capital Solutions (Sydney)

About the role

The firm is seeking an Associate Director to lead its Capital Solutions function within the Funds Management team. Reporting to the Head of Capital Solutions, this senior, commercially‑oriented position sits at the intersection of capital strategy, fund design and portfolio‑level oversight across a diversified alternatives platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute platform‑wide capital strategy, aligning allocation with portfolio objectives, risk parameters and firm priorities.
• Lead capital and funding allocation for investment transactions, balancing return, scale, concentration, liquidity and broader portfolio considerations.
• Assess and design new fund concepts, overseeing capital structuring for both new and existing funds.
• Prepare and present Investment Committee papers on capital allocation decisions, new funds and structural changes.
• Provide portfolio‑level capital and liquidity oversight, working directly with Portfolio Managers to address constraints.
• Identify emerging portfolio risks through scenario and sensitivity analysis and recommend proactive capital or structural responses.
• Produce capital‑related insights and materials for senior management, internal committees and Board‑level reporting.

Required profile

• Senior experience in funds management, structured finance, banking, credit or investment strategy with direct exposure to capital allocation and fund structuring.
• Strong commercial judgement across complex capital, liquidity and portfolio trade‑offs.
• Ability to interpret, challenge and synthesize financial analysis to inform structuring decisions.
• Collaborative operator who builds trusted relationships across investing, transaction management, risk and finance teams.
• High level of accountability, discretion and professional integrity.
