About the role
The Assistant Manager will work closely with a Relationship Manager to support a portfolio of small‑to‑medium enterprise (SME) commercial customers. This permanent, full‑time position is based in Melbourne and offers the chance to grow relationships with existing and new clients while contributing to the bank’s revenue goals.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Relationship Managers in delivering banking solutions and insights to SME customers.
- Conduct financial analysis and develop credit strategy recommendations for designated customer groups.
- Support relationship bankers in growing new and existing customer revenue.
- Maintain a professional market profile and stay informed about industry trends.
- Collaborate with internal functions and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required profile
- Strong customer focus with curiosity about customer drivers.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, complex credit environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working autonomously.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment.
- Ability to conduct financial analysis and develop credit strategies.
