Accountant – Full Cycle & BAS Specialist

About the role

Moomoo is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, processing invoices, expense reports and payments.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time.
• Execute month‑end closing procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Support annual audit, company tax return and FBT processes with required documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
• Good communication skills; Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
