Accountant – FIFO, Gold Fields

About the role

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its underground gold operation on a 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Manager Finance, you will support cost control, reporting and financial analysis, helping to improve transparency and influence capital and operating decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end procedures and ensure accurate reporting across operating and capital budgets.
• Analyse key cost drivers and prepare reports or presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance on Authority for Expenditure (AFE) processes.
• Support continuous improvement of analytical models, forecasting tools and budgeting processes.
• Assist in financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting across multiple departments.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting; CPA or CA qualification highly regarded.
• Experience in mining finance, budgeting and ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Strong analytical, computer literacy and stakeholder management skills.
