Accountant – Business Services

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant – Business Services to provide high‑quality accounting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with senior team members, gain exposure to international businesses, and play a key part in end‑to‑end client delivery with clear growth potential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for multiple clients, preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts and financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, fixed‑asset accounting and payroll entries.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS (GST & PAYG) and support FBT and corporate tax returns, ensuring ATO and ASIC compliance.
• Liaise with external tax agents, auditors and other partners.
• Build strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor on accounting and compliance matters, and support ongoing client needs.
• Assist with client onboarding, identify value‑add opportunities, and contribute to process improvements and team efficiency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in business services or accounting.
• CA or CPA qualification (or in progress).
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax and compliance (GST, PAYG, FBT, corporate tax).
• Experience working with multiple clients in a professional services environment.
• Proactive, curious, solution‑oriented with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously while being a team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.
• Comfortable using cloud‑based tools and digital workflows.
